One of the primary causes of unsuccessful attempts of pregnancies are because of improper sperm motility. For successful fertilization, huge number of healthy sperms need to travel to the ovum, henceforth which, only one sperm shall fuse resulting into a zygote. About Intrauterine Insemination (IUI)
Intrauterine insemination or IUI is an advanced procedure for artificially introducing sperms from the father, into the uterus of the mother, in order to facilitate successful pregnancy. The procedure is performed by proficient practitioners who collect sperms from the father, process it in culture media in the laboratory, and then inject them directly into the mother’s uterus. The procedure thus increases the chance of successful fertilization which may lead to pregnancy. In case the sperm from the father is unfit, the same can be collected from donor and used for fertilization.
